Roni Nicole is an unstoppable creative powerhouse who defies boundaries and redefines what’s possible. A professional wrestler, author, playwright, choreographer, activist, sketch comedian, and dynamic performer, she seamlessly blends artistry with purpose, using her talents to spark change and amplify unheard voices. Born in Houston and raised in the Carolinas, Roni is deeply rooted in Southern culture while embracing a global artistic vision. Her work—whether on stage, in the ring, or behind the scenes—challenges conventions, uplifts marginalized communities, and inspires bold

self-expression. She believes in art as revolution, movement as healing, and storytelling as a vehicle for justice. With a career spanning theater, dance, poetry, and advocacy, Roni’s impact is as expansive as it is electric. She is the strategic operations director of Get Embodied Soul Movement, a wellness-centered initiative for fat, Black, and disabled bodies, and the host of Heart of the Arts with Roni Nicole, a radio show amplifying diverse artistic voices on Oak 93.5. She has led transformative workshops, produced groundbreaking events, and stood on the frontlines of movements for equity and inclusion for over a decade. Roni’s journey is fearless, and she invites others to step into their power alongside her. Whether through movement, words, or action, she is here to shake the world, one unapologetic expression at a time.

She then received her Master’s Degree (also at UNC-G) in School Counseling. Throughout her thirty years as a school counselor she focused on supporting school communities through social-emotional development learning opportunities, self-regulation strategies, and the power of a growth mindset. Now, as a retired educator she is enjoying all kinds fun with family and six grandchildren along with lots of acting adventures. Susan has had the privilege to create with a number of theatre companies throughout the Triangle to include acting, musicals, voice-over work, and events inviting audience participation and processing. Susan remains the on-going student always on the look out to stretch her creative (and sometimes creaky) bones
