Engaged to Death by Doug Simpson, Directed by Noelle Azarelo

The Show

Step into the glitz and glamor of the 1920’s at Raleigh’s historic Tucker House where jealousy, secrets, and betrayal weave a web of mystery around a groom with more enemies than friends. Unravel the threads of deception at this immersive engagement party, where everyone’s a suspect and the truth is your greatest challenge!  Engaged to Death features a hilarious cast of Triangle actors and improvisers, in this whodunnit by local playwright Doug Simpson and directed by Noelle Azarelo. Co-produced by the City of Raleigh, the event includes food, mocktails, and patrons are invited to dress in 1920’s attire.

The Event

Throughout the 90-minute show, patrons will explore the beautiful Tucker House as this zany original story unfolds. The party includes live music, light h’orderves, and themed mocktails. The audience may (but are not required to) interact with the characters as they mill throughout the house.

Things to Note

  1. 1920s dress is encouraged but not required.
  2. In the style of most Seed immersive performances, this is a STANDING show.  Audiences will move throughout the Tucker house under the guidance of the characters. Note - there is limited space but there is some seating scattered throughout the rooms if you need to sit for a spell,  Please let us know if you need a dedicated chair for accessibility and we will make sure you are covered!
  3. The driveway to the right of the house leads to a lot out back. (Just before the house coming down N. Person.) You may park there and walk around to the front porch. Street parking is also available.
