Virtual Small Group studios are back! This fall we are offering studios for theatre students wishing to advance their skills in a small group environment (3-4 students). Previous studio students said that this was where they "grew the most" by experiencing the one-on-one attention from the instructor. As studios fill - we will add additional time options and/or instructors. $100/6week session
Let's get moving! Each week, performers will explore movement, rhythm, and sound effects to explore various forms of classic and contemporary poetry. Dustin Britt, Instructor
In this class students will learn an "A to Z vocal warmup" that they can use to prepare for auditions, rehearsals, performances, or any type of public speaking. Students will learn to manipulate placement, pitch, speed, and consonant and vowel changes to become a "vocal chameleon." We will work with text to explore specific characters that will inform the following dialects; Standard British, Cockney, Brooklyn, and American Southern. Dylan Bailey, Instructor
Reviewing a piece of art is more than just knowing what you like! Learn how to creatively describe the performances, design, and effects used in theatre and film. This class will be taught by local theatre critic Dustin Britt.
